Discovering my passion for content curation led me to hold several creative positions that allowed me to develop my skills and grow creatively. One of these roles is serving as a Brand Ambassador for a local boutique, Blueberi Lane. As a Brand Babe, I am responsible for modelling clothes, creating new, fresh content for various platforms, as well as serving as the face of the boutique. Through this opportunity, I got to meet a community of influencers that shared my passion for all things social media. Digital content curation is literally a dream job- you get to combine your personal passions (food, clothing, fitness, etc.) with your creativity and individual style to create engaging moments that captivate your audience. There is also an opportunity to grow and cultivate your photography, blogging, and communication skills. One thing I have learned through my experience with Blueberi Lane is the importance of not living in your head and just getting out and following your passion. I was a little intimidated to apply for this program, and even after I was accepted I felt unsure in my creative abilities (I had never worked with this many accomplished influencers before, and felt like I couldn't compare to their high standards). Everyone experiences self-doubt, but if you continuously tell yourself I don't have the skills or know-how to make it happen, I can't possibly measure up to what this person is already doing, you will never get where you want to be. As cheesy as it is, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. This concept motivates me in my everyday life and pushes me to take on new challenges that force me out of my comfort zone. Working with Blueberi Lane has grown my confidence substantially, and in turn, has made me more intentional in working towards my goals. It made me realize that you always know more than you think you do, and no opportunity presented to you is ever too big.
